Healing begins when your body no longer has to survive.
Somatic Experiencing® for anxiety, trauma, chronic overwhelm and nervous system healing— with someone who's walked this path herself.
FROM BROADWAY STAGES TO NERVOUS SYSTEM HEALING
For over two decades, I lived in a body driven by performance and survival. On the outside, it looked like I had it all together. Inside, my nervous system never truly felt safe.
Somatic Experiencing® helped me come home to my body. Today, I help others do the same.

so you can feel safer, more present, and more like yourself again.

HOW SESSIONS WORK
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) is a gentle, body-based, nervous system-focused approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine to help heal the effects of trauma and chronic stress.
Rather than seeing symptoms as something to fight or fix, Somatic Experiencing understands them as intelligent adaptations your body made to help you survive. It supports your nervous system's natural capacity to return to greater regulation, resilience, and ease.
-
Trauma isn’t just about what happened- It’s about what happened inside the nervous system when an experience was too much, too fast, too soon.
Trauma isn’t a sign that something is wrong with you. It’s evidence that your nervous system did exactly what it needed to do to help you survive.
-
No. There is no expectation to relive or retell painful experiences in detail. While there is often conversation, Somatic Experiencing® focuses less on retelling the past and more on what your body is experiencing in the present moment. Meaningful change can happen without revisiting every detail of your story. Together, we'll move at a pace that feels safe and supportive for your nervous system, and you're always in control of what you choose to share.

Every session is unique because every nervous system is unique. There is often conversation, but how much we talk depends on what feels most supportive for you. Much of our work involves gently noticing what you're experiencing from moment to moment. This may include body sensations, emotions, thoughts, images, or impulses.
Most sessions take place while sitting, though at times you may be invited to stand, move, or shift your posture if it feels supportive. There is no "right" way to participate, and no special equipment is needed. Sessions are offered virtually over Zoom, and together we'll follow what feels safe and supportive for your nervous system.

There is no set number of sessions, as every nervous system is unique. In my experience, many people find that the first 1–3 sessions help them become familiar with the Somatic Experiencing® approach and begin developing greater awareness of their nervous system. By around 6–12 sessions, most people have a much clearer sense of how this work is supporting them. Some come for short-term support around a specific concern, while others choose to continue longer to work with more complex or longstanding patterns. Throughout our work together, we'll regularly check in and decide what feels most supportive for you.
