How it Works
Rather than simply telling your body it is safe, we invite it to remember safety through direct experience.
Your mind may know you're safe, while your body is still responding as though danger is present. Sensation is one of the ways the nervous system communicates. By gently noticing what is happening in the body, we create opportunities for the nervous system to experience safety—not simply be told that it is safe.
During a session, we'll gently notice what your body is already communicating. Sometimes the body can reveal what we don't yet have words for—a protective response, an impulse, or something that was needed but couldn't happen at the time.
You don't have to understand or remember everything that happened. Sensations, emotions, thoughts, and memories are all welcome—we simply follow your nervous system's lead, beginning wherever it feels most ready.
Over time, as your nervous system feels supported, it can begin to complete self-protective responses that may have been interrupted during trauma or overwhelming past experiences. As these protective patterns gently release, your body discovers it no longer has to stay in a constant state of survival, allowing softening to become possible.
Every session unfolds at a pace that feels manageable. You'll always have choice throughout the process, and together we trust your nervous system's innate capacity for regulation, resilience, and healing.
